What is renewable energy? And why does it matter if we use it?

In this workshop we’ll sort out the difference between renewable and non-renewable energy sources, learn how electricity can be generated using a practical demonstration and then explore the principles behind some different forms of renewable energy.

How do wind turbines work? What’s the best way to light our homes? What do we mean by ‘eco-friendly’ ? and where do magnets come into it?

By empowering students to make their own decisions we can engage them in this vital topic - and have a lot of fun at the same time!

Why does this matter?

Climate change is always relevant, but can seem like a subject too huge and scary to tackle. By focusing on the science behind the solutions, and the positive actions we can all take, we can inspire each other to continue to protect our planet!
